Meet Mama: Behind the Scenes of Making Our New Limited-Edition Mother’s Day Collection
We have
just launched a NEW collection called ‘Mama.’ It’s our new gifting range that
we’ve curated that’s filled with our bestselling pampering products from one of
our best-selling blends. It’s the perfect way to make any Mama feel special so
that she can take the “me time” she deserves.
The Inspiration Behind Mama
Majority of us at team Urban Rituelle are Mama’s, and we get it. Us Mama’s do need some much deserved “me time” every now and then, but there isn’t always the luxury of being able to leave the house to get it!
Our Mama products are both boutique and unique! They are an easy addition to any everyday “feel good” ritual so that Mama’s can create a tranquil sanctuary, relax and indulge in a little bit of pampering.

Designing Mama
Our in-house designer Jodie is a super talented artist!! She hand draws all of the artwork on our packaging (look at the designs on collections such as our Weekender and Festive Botanica ranges, that’s all her)! When we came up with the idea for ‘Mama’ we just knew we had to add Jodie’s creative flair to the packaging to create a signature and boutique look that’s quintessential Urban Rituelle.
We had numerous back and forth conversations about the overall design, but in the end, we chose to go with something abstract yet feminine – something that would be modern yet classic.
The pink alludes to our signature fragrance blend across the range (aptly named “Love”) with the scent of neroli blossom and cardamom, and the green was chosen to represent the natural ingredients in each product.
Jodie painted each brush stroke onto canvas, and we then digitised this so that it could be printed across all our Mama packaging.

When choosing a fragrance
for this limited-edition collection, we wanted to choose a scent that reflected
the love that was not only put into making the collection, but the love we
wanted Mama’s to feel when they received the goodies. At the end of the day it
was pretty simple to choose the scent, our LOVE fragrance blend was the obvious
choice. This best-selling blend of neroli blossom, aromatic cardamom and sweet
musk has been a long-time fan favourite that always surprises and delights.
Unveiling Mama to the World
We launched Mama at the 2020 Sydney Reed Gift Fair, and to our delight, it was a big hit! It’s since been flying off the shelves and the feedback from our stockists was been overwhelmingly positive.
